O.J. Simpson Charged

SEPTEMBER 18--Prosecutors today added felony kidnapping charges to the array of criminal counts that O.J. Simpson and three cohorts are facing in connection with last week's alleged memorabilia rendition bid at a Las Vegas hotel.

Simpson, 60, and his codefendants were named in an 11-count criminal complaint filed this afternoon in Justice Court. A copy of the complaint can be found below.

Along with the pair of new felony kidnapping charges (one apiece for each of the memorabilia dealers who were accosted in a room at the Palace Station hotel), Simpson & Co. were hit with armed robbery, burglary, assault, and conspiracy charges.

The former football star is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges (10 felonies and one misdemeanor) tomorrow morning.

Charged along with Simpson are Walter Alexander, 46; Clarence Stewart, 53; and Michael McClinton, 49. The group was brought to the hotel by Thomas Riccio, a convicted felon who told the memorabilia dealers that he had arranged for a prospective buyer to examine collectibles, some of which Simpson claims to have been stolen from him.
